Northerners going:

Andy
Paul
Rich
Rob
Me

OK we'll need to sort out some specifics....

Not sure if anyone wants to drive up to harrogate thurs night & stop over - i can drive down on friday morning in mr focus... it's a doddle from here, seems a shame to mess it up by driving via sheffield

err yeah I could do that, drive to work on my own on Thursday and give you a lift home and stop over.. Just a bit worried about leaving the bike in the car all day!

Paul

well I know Rob can't drive, and Rich can't afford his car insurance, so he's grounded, don't know about Andy..!
How many bikes can you carry on your rack then?

jon

Well my rack holds 2, but if i'm just transporting the one extra person the bikes will probably go in the boot for the trip down to wales :D

What time is everyone setting off? Early morning I hope, but getting Rich out of his house could hold me up, it's not the getting out of bed that's the problem.... well you know what it's like with Rich

well we try to get there for as close to 1pm as possible.

for me that means leaving no later than 9:30

Paul

Well that's fine by me, i'm an early riser anyway, I hope Rich and Rob are reading this..!! :P

No probs with getting early especially when it's for a trip like this. I'll speak to Paul and sort out details closer to the time. Cheers!!!! :D :D

Paul

Right then, this is what I'm proposing to do.
Rich I'd like to come and pick you up around 8:50, then aim to pick Rob up at 9:00.
The reason why so early is because of Sheffield traffic in the morning :( , and it is easier to pick Rich up first then Rob, coz then it's straight up Woodseats and out of Sheffield onto our long route to Wales :D .

Anyone come up with a decent route from Sheffield down to Trawsfynydd :?:
By my reckoning, it should take about three hours, thereabouts :)

whats the plan now jons not going does andy want to meet us and us all go down together?

steve whos going now?

Paul

Yeah, if we want to meet at yours Rich, I'll pick Rob up on the way down, and if Andy wants to meet us there, we can sort out are kit between the two cars and go down as a convoy.
So if Andy is up for that, what time should we meet at Rich's :?:

As far as I am aware, the current list is:

Me (Stevenage - heading up alone)
Michael (Stoke - heading there alone)

London group travelling together:
Tim
Volker

Sheffield posse travelling together/convoy:
Rich
Paul
Rob

Andy - Threatening not to come due to low finances.

Andy needs to confirm with other Sheffield folks in order to establish transport-sharing situation.

Jon - Not coming due to tonsilitis

Rich has done the Sheffield-CyB trip a few times now, so should be able to advise people on the best route.

well the route i've taken before was straight down the M1 to A38 then to the M54(watch steve drive off on a tangent, or maybe just doing a few laps of a roundabout  ) then down the A458 onto A470 then Heaven

Paul

Can we avoid the M1 please, it's going to be Hell at that time in the morning

DHMadboy
