If you use something like PSP after a training session, you'll recover far quicker than just by using the traditional method of rest.
It's handy when you're training with a particular milestone in mind - training on consecutive days becomes easier because your muscles have had a better chance of recovering (which as we all know, is the bit where you get fitter)
