One word to describe the red route, SwEEt! Flowy, tech, steep (in places), really well signed and a barrel of laughs. The ups are easy and the downs are fun. Some stuff is flat yet fast and the variety of the terain is amazing. There's a lot of types of trail riding rolled into one. Knee pads are the only extra protection I'd take but then I fall off more than I should.
The skills area up at Dixons Hollow in the forrest is a good 10 minute laugh on the way round or start from there and mess around when you get back. Filled with mini rippers though.
Any time anyone's up here it's a great place to go ride so give me a shout for a guided tour.
